Off the Rails Episode 58: Zero Finger Interactions

Recorded February 17, 2023

No news this episode. Instead, Chris reads a listener email who is upset with us about our overly broad definition of Augmented Reality. Some agree, some disagree, but we all begrudgingly agree that AR is a thing… maybe.

Then Raul Burriel from Oregon State University joins us again to talk through the maddening world of enterprise video content management systems. What features are critical, how easy is it to migrate from one to another, how do we centralize storage of recorded assets, and how do we get faculty to stop recording to secret alternative locations? Raul has answers to all of this!

(Important AVSF announcement disguised as a commercial)

Finally, are scheduling panels an AV component? Who manages and maintains these things anyway? And shouldn’t we just print a weekly calendar and stick it on the door?
